A “Fathers Day fishing Trip” has been a long time coming with the pandemic, but my son sent me a Fathers Day card and told me he owed me two outings. Easier for some

As we daundered out into the water, on boat 13 ( lucky for some) and having foolishly been saying to Douglas and Bill that while I have never found Lake of Menteith a particularly easy venue, it was getting now that I was catching on most visits…..talk about setting yourself up for a fall!

Lake of Tranquility

Well, finally I got out fishing and off the mark. The start of the season fell on a Monday this year which wasn’t conducive to being on the water having a working week ahead, then I was on call the weekend after and the weather turned abysmal with strong gusty winds. Throw into the mix the COVID stay at home rules and options were limited. I have been sticking stringently to the rules, as frankly, heeding the rules and the ‘rithmetic is the only way out this mess.
