A two minute tip that I feel definitely puts more fish on the bank when fishing lures and streamers, or even Boobies.
These flies are often tied with longer tails, or highly mobile body materials. Some even employ articulated bodies. Then we go tie them with a knot that is stiff and doesn’t let the fly move as erratically.
Enter this method for tying on your Lure or Streamer. The Rapala Knot; Since I started using it I have definitely seen improved numbers of fish hooked on lures. I am not much of a lure angler, I will always prefer something small and natural looking as a first choice, but sometimes needs must to put a bend in the rod, and when that time comes I use this knot to acheive the mobility I want. Give it a try and feel free to comment here or on my YouTube Channel.
