If you read or browsed yesterdays Blog Post – Moist, it can’t have escaped your attention I had my drone up in the gap between the last big shower and the final downpour.
This wee video is of a few of the clips taken while out. ( It isn’t that easy driving a boat, fishing and flying a drone at the same time!). Also, I dread to think what would happen if the low battery alert had come on as I hooked a fish. The stuff of nightmares. Landing in a boat isn’t easy either as the auto land feature wants to make the drone land in the water ( at the position it took off from , and the boat is not there now!) and you are constantly moving away from the drone as you bring it down for a hand landing.
Definitely not something for too windy a day. And I play very much on the side of caution bringing it in to land way before the battery is flat.
Having said all that there were no incidents or mishaps and the drone was never more than a few tens of metres away from me so closely managed.
