Difficult fish

So far been up to Pendriech twice this week as the weather has been so nice. I am dying to go river fishing but its a non-starter while I am on call, so it’s my best option for now.

I was fishing dries- though threatened to put on a weighted nymph in case fish lying deeper might be easier to catch. I tried loads of different dry patterns, the trusty Klinkhammer, shit flies, F Flies, CDC emergers, Deer Hair Comparadun, but even over rising fish got no interest.

We have had some reasonably settled weather this last couple of days so I took advantage of the situation and have spent the last two evenings up at Pendreich.

Had a killer couple of days and needed to get away from work-related bumph for a few hours tonight. Summer seems to have arrived (typically on the days I have back to back night work!)
