Cabin Fever Relief
Fever seems to be on everyone’s mind right now, though maybe not the “cabin” variety. It feels like forever since I last wet a line, in winter I usually try to get out at some point on a weekend but the weather has been abysmal this last month, especially at weekends. Even on my regular “every other” Friday off’s I have been having- using up the last of my annual leave before the end of the financial year its either blown a gale or tipped down.

On Shorter Days
When I awoke ( not sure I was really sleeping) on Sunday round 07:30 the trees were giving it “laldie” being disturbed by gusty winds. Nymphing for Grayling requires good line control and having the wind bow the delicate line ‘twixt rod tip and water is no good to man nor beast. I wasn’t going to drive 130 miles round trip to be defeated by the weather. Nope, I chose early capitulation and went back to bed for a few hours!
