In short I totally hate Blobs, Boobies and Bungs, and don’t get me on about Indicators. In fact I don’t like Lures much either.
But do I use them? Well I am ’embarrassed'(?) to say that on occasions I have. In fact this winter I have certainly used lures and have fished buzzers under an “indicator” fly.

It wasn’t the brightest warmest or most springlike day that greeted us on Saturday morning at Swanswater- but at least it wasn’t chucking it down with rain or blowing a gale as it so easily can do at this time in the (pre) season.

I went up to Swanswater this afternoon for a wee recce session prior to the Troutmasters fish off tomorrow. Was not a bad day though a bit of a nasty crosswind kept casting tricky for long periods. When the sun came out though it was very Spring like.

I went up to Swanswater today- needed to get out the house and blow away a tough week. Quite fancied a run down the Tweed but without the “run” part! So in the end I thought I would visit my “local” really with just the intention of fishing the ponds for a bit fun.

I fished Swanswater today- was thinking of venturing further afield down to Burnhouse, which is a place I have not fished before but was too tight for time between family commitments and closing time (around 17:00 most places right now).So went to a VERY quiet Swanswater- think the Rangers v Celtic game was keeping people away- all the better for me.
