Had a couple of hours up at Pendreich Saturday, the weather man reported it was to be a lovely day but it was damp and misty for most of the day with a little sun eeking out later in the afternoon, though it could never be considered warm. After 5 long months it’s finally here! The Brown Trout Season opens in Scotland on the customary date of 15th of March, and with that my club water, Pendreich. I have to say while I am sure many of my readers get a bit fed up hearing about my outings up there (there are plenty of them after all) I rarely tire of my outings there.

Fundamentally it seems, he is a rod builder of custom made split cane rods and this video and a number of others on Vimeo (do a search on his name) are subtle ads for his wares.
