Sutherland Adventure Part One

This years fishing trip is to the Assynt area of the Northwest Highlands of Scotland.
I had never fished here though and it has been a long time ambition to fish a couple of the literally hundreds of Brown trout occupied lochs and lochans in this area.

A bad sign maybe?

Old Haunts, New Tricks

I took a drive along to the Tait’s Tomb area of the River Devon and supposing I never cast a line, I would reacquaint myself with a section of the Devon I probably haven’t fished in at least five years and frankly couldn’t remember much about, though I probably fished here more than anywhere on the river.
