The boat would be fine though fishing along the East bank so decided to get kitted up and give it a go.

Last day for the Ladies: River Tweed 25th March 2011

Decided to head off down the Tweed today for a final day of fishing for the Lady of the Stream- the Grayling. There is no formal Grayling open or closed season in Scotland- unlike England, but the Peebleshire Trout Fishing Association request not targetting them from 1st April through to end of June, their breeding season. The Trout fishing does not start formally on the Tweed until 1st April either.

A Game of Two Halves: Cocksburn Reservoir 19th/20th March

Had a few hours to spare Saturday afternoon while providing “Dad’s Taxi” service to our son who was going out with his mates for a few hours in the afternoon. As I was also on call (for work) going anywhere to fish where its going to cost me is strictly out of the question- my pager would go as soon as I wet a line. So I popped up to Cocksburn Reservoir (Pendriech) at the back of Bridge of Allan to fish the club water for a few hours.
