Thursday Evening

Last night I was a bit late in deciding to get out but decide I did and headed down the River Carron in the hope of catching an evening rise. And catch I did, metaphorically and literally. Once tackled up and ready to cast a line it was about 9pm, and a few fish were showing. After a couple of casts up the middle of the river to get my line wet and the range, pretty well my first cast over a rising fish ( using a pretty conventional upwinged BWO pattern) hooked and netted a lovely fish.
