I have to say I hate these things, and I have no intention of doing a Step By Step on how to tie them, as they are simple. I have been tying some Blobs, Egg Laying Blobs and a Black and Green “Fritz” as I was woefully short of anything of this description last weekend at Swanswater and they seemed to be the only pattern doing the business.
I went and got a pack of Flybox Fluo Black Gel Core Fritz and Fluo Chartreuse Gel Core Fritz in Angling Active, and a pack of Fluo Green 3.2mm brass beads.
I don’t actually know what a Black and Green Fritz Lure is and can only assume its like a Blob with a Marabou tail, so thats what I have tied.
The rest of the blobs- Black and Green, Yellow and Orange and “Bumble Bee” I tied for a slightly different reason. Blobs occupy the darker recesses of my fly box and the ones I have tied are mostly on long shank Lure hooks. But When in Angling Active I see they stock Craig Barr’s Flash Attack Fly range and I noticed how small his blobs are compared to mine,so these Blobs are tied on size 8, 10 and 12 standard heavy wire wet fly hooks.

They are still the Devils own work though, but yes I will probably use them sometime! Roll on Summer and the return of the Dry Flies!
