I have not fished my “local” Swanswater for a while, between having the “free” fishing through the club at Pendreich and being committed to the Carron Valley MacMillan competition a few weeks back my resources have a finite limit to afford other pay as you go fisheries.

Out a wee walk with the missus and the dog last night and went up to one of the private lochs I have permission to fish occasionally.
I went up to Pendriech for a wee hour and a half last night, seemed like a beautiful evening until you popped your head above the dam wall level where a force 5 Easterly was belting in carrying the North Sea chill with it! But there were a couple of anglers out on the East and North bank, so nothing ventured……

It’s been a blowy couple of days and really fly fishing at my usual haunts has been knocked out due to the direction and intensity of this Easterly wind. However it usually drops of an evening and I was “encouraged” by my better half to go out for a couple of hours last night up to my local fishery, Swanswater. The two bottom ponds are pretty sheltered from the wind so should be fishable.
