It was the SCAC club day at Butterstone yesterday. Weather conditions started very like my previous visit with very bright sunshine and little breeze. Good for casting but probably not so good for fishing. The water too was rather murky looking, though close in it looked clear enough.

Dear Auntie,
I like this lady, she is attractive, popular with all the boys, not cheap though she lets me have a shot for a couple of drinks- OK a bottle of wine usually does it. But though I sometimes get her all to myself on occasions, she won’t let me have what I really want. I have tried playing round on top, in the middle and well “down below”, but it does not matter where I go or what I use to get there, in the end, nothing happens.

This week the plan is to try get out and fish a few places I haven’t been to before. Ideally I would prefer to fish from a boat where I can fish seated as standing and walking are a bit uncomfortable right now. However it wasn’t an option today but I still fancied getting out, so where to go? The only local small Stillwater I have not visited so far is Bowden Springs, so I nipped along the M9 for a few hours catch and release.
