A couple of new ideas for the website that I hope will expand over time. Video is everywhere and it even surprises me to learn I have made 92 videos, published on You Tube. Admittedly a few aren’t fishing related but most are.
Amongst the most popular are the instructional ones and the drone footage of rivers, so these areas are going to be growing.
Let’s Fly the Clyde.
It can’t have escaped the notice if you follow this blog regularly that I like to fly my drone over the rivers I fish. I think it gives a unique perspective to the waters visited. Of the bigger rivers I fish, my favourite is the River Clyde and I have been updating, and will continue to update, the content on my River Clyde fishing page. To further enhance this, I am introducing the Let’s Fly the Clyde video series. (Shameless rip-off of the name of the famous book, Let’s Fish The Clyde).
Whenever possible I will fly the drone over the sections of the river I visit and edit them into short aerial clips of the river which I hope will prove useful to anglers both new to the river or those with knowledge, looking for new areas to try.
Please bear in mind, Drone flights are short, both in time and range and I need it to be dry and better still, warm to get the most from them. This is not a five minute task, but will take a long while providing a) drones don’t get banned and b) I don’t crash or lose it!

Two Minute Tips
A second idea, I have had a few false starts with I must admit, are short videos of tips or ideas. I don’t claim to be expert at fly fishing, and we can all admit to learning new stuff everytime we are out. But it occured to me why not take some of these ideas or tips learned and put them in short easy to digest clips of 2 minutes or therabouts. I have a couple just about ready for publication and one or two ideas for future ones. So watch this space and my YouTube channel for these new updates too.
