I am off out tomorrow on the Clyde with Game Angling Instructor and Charman of the Game Angling Instructors Association, Alberto Laidlaw. While I have to say my angling has improved immeasurably over the last 9 months – to the extent that I now go out expecting to catch at least a fish most trips, I still find my angling skills on moving water leave something to be desired. Fine weather for ducks

On call this weekend so can’t venture far. Went up to Pendreich just after 12 thinking the afternoon looked like it was going to brighten up.
As I drove up it got darker and darker and was utterly tipping it down by the time I arrived.
I just had to sit it out until it let up a bit so I could get tackled up.

I went up to Pendriech for a wee hour and a half last night, seemed like a beautiful evening until you popped your head above the dam wall level where a force 5 Easterly was belting in carrying the North Sea chill with it! But there were a couple of anglers out on the East and North bank, so nothing ventured……
